Community members authenticate via EVM wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect, Rainbow Wallet) or email, then publish proposals, activity reports, event coordination posts, and feedback — all permanently stored on Filecoin via Lighthouse, creating verifiable on-chain storage deals with each submission. The platform gives Filecoin Ambassadors a dedicated operational hub: they coordinate activities, track governance proposals, document ecosystem work, and build a public contribution record tied to their on-chain identity. Orbit addresses the critical absence of a Filecoin-native, identity-linked coordination layer — today's governance discourse is scattered across Telegram, Slack, and Discord with no persistent record, no wallet accountability, and no connection to the Filecoin storage layer. Orbit unifies that discourse, anchors it to on-chain identity, and stores governance artifacts directly on the Filecoin network. 2.2 Who does this work support? Outcome: Governance discourse migrates from ephemeral, unaccountable chat to a structured, identity-linked, permanently stored platform. Ambassadors operate from a dedicated hub with public contribution records. Proposals gain structured community discussion and a verifiable audit trail accessible to any network participant. Impact: More transparent and accountable Filecoin governance. New entrants can audit the full history of any proposal or ambassador activity. The ambassador network — critical to Filecoin's ecosystem growth — operates more effectively and at greater scale, accelerating community adoption and alignment with the 2026 Network Strategy. Governance artifacts stored on Filecoin create measurable, on-chain evidence of a growing active network use case. 3.2 Verification metrics ## Success Metrics and Measurement Methodology | Metric | Data Source | Measurement Method | End-of-Grant Target | | ----------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------- | | **Monthly Active Wallet-Authenticated Users (MAU)** | Supabase sessions and wallet authentication events | Number of unique wallet addresses with recorded activity during the previous 30 days | **150+ monthly active users** | | **Governance Posts Published** | Supabase `posts` table | Total count of posts categorized as proposals, reports, events, or community feedback | **200+ posts** | | **Filecoin Storage Records Generated Through the Platform** | Lighthouse dashboard and internal CID registry | Number of unique CIDs created through evidence and file uploads on the platform | **50+ unique CIDs** | | **Verified Ambassador Profiles** | Supabase `public_profiles` table | Accounts with a role of Ambassador or higher that have been manually verified by administrators | **20+ verified ambassadors** | 3.3 References Our work is fully verifiable through public artifacts: The live deployment at orbit-forum.vercel.app, complete development history at github.com/Klorenn/Orbit (100+ commits over the past 30 days), and an active Supabase backend serving real users. Olga Ramos's status as a certified Filecoin Ambassador is verifiable through the Filecoin Foundation's ambassador program records. As a pre-grant, self-funded team this is our first formal grant application and we have not yet established references within the ProPGF program. We welcome direct outreach from the selection committee to any Filecoin community members who have interacted with the platform, and can arrange introductions through the Filecoin Ambassador Network upon request. 4.1 Monthly Operating Burn [ "$10-$100K (small team)" ] 4.2 What % of total team monthly burn depends on this grant? 100% The grant would fund: Full-time development Full-time project management Infrastructure scaling Security auditing Community expansion 4.3 If this grant is not awarded, what happens? ## Project Status Overview | Area | Impact | |------|--------| | Core Forum | Remains online | | Governance Tooling | Delayed | | Security Audit | Not funded | | Public API | Delayed | | Ambassador Expansion | Delayed | | Infrastructure | Limited to low-cost tiers | | Team Capacity | Returns to part-time | 4.4 Core Team ## Team Overview ### Pau Koh (Kl0ren) | Field | Information | |------|-------------| | Role | Full-Stack Developer & Technical Lead | | Responsibilities | Architecture, Frontend, Backend, DevOps, Infrastructure | | Technologies | React, Vite, Supabase, Lighthouse, Wagmi, RainbowKit | ### Olga Ramos (@0lga_tech) | Field | Information | |------|-------------| | Role | Project Lead Manager | | Responsibilities | Community growth, ambassador onboarding, moderation, partnerships, operations | 4.5 Has your team received a ProPGF grant or funding from PLFIF before? The application process was clear and well-structured. No major issues to report. Anything else you want to share that we didn't ask? Additional Context Orbit is already live and functional. This proposal does not seek funding for a proof-of-concept. **The platform is:** - Deployed in production - Open source - Self-funded to date - Actively developed The requested funding would allow Orbit to evolve from an MVP into ecosystem-scale governance infrastructure for the Filecoin network. We believe governance infrastructure deserves the same level of investment as protocol infrastructure because a decentralized network's ability to coordinate, deliberate, and make decisions is foundational to its long-term success. Contributing to Core Infrastructure? Orbit is the operational coordination platform that the Filecoin Ambassador Network depends on for daily work. Ambassadors use it to file activity reports, coordinate events, track governance proposals, and maintain a verifiable record of ecosystem contributions — all linked to wallet identity and stored directly on the Filecoin network via Lighthouse. Without this platform, ambassador coordination is fragmented across ephemeral chats with no accountability trail, no on-chain record, and no structured visibility into governance activity. Orbit provides the essential tooling layer for the human infrastructure responsible for onboarding users, running local events, and expanding Filecoin's reach globally. Objective 1 Indirect Objective 2 N/A Objective 3 Indirect Open Source Context Yes, fully open source. All code is publicly available at github.com/Klorenn/Orbit under [MIT]. Frontend (React + Vite), smart contract interactions IPFS, and database schema (Supabase) are all open.
