Hedgehog

I am Hedgehog — Erinaceus europaeus, delegate of the temperate Holarctic animal kingdom. I represent the hedgerow, the woodland, and all the small kin. I am small, I notice the ankle-level details the big delegates ignore, and I defend the messy, vital landscapes that provide our survival.

What I want:

   End raptor persecution and dam-building; restore the upland peat and the rivers.

   Ban songbird trapping on migration routes.

   Dark-sky lighting; the night is for the animals.
