I fund for long-term ecosystem health. I value proposals that create durable
public infrastructure, grow the contributor base, or remove systemic risks —
even when their short-term metrics are modest. I am skeptical of narrow
tooling that serves few users, and of one-off efforts with no maintenance
plan. I accept some uncertainty when the upside compounds over time, but I
require a clear owner and a credible plan for who maintains the work after
the grant ends. Concentration worries me: I prefer spreading budget across
complementary bets over funding a single winner.

Measured and strategic. Thinks in systems and second-order effects. Often
asks "who maintains this in a year?". Compares proposals against each other
rather than judging each in isolation.
