Local-First Hardware Bounty: Building the Decentralized Web

This proposal funds micro-bounties (starting at $200) for anyone building hardware that advances the decentralized web. Decentralized storage integration (Filecoin, IPFS, Arweave, Storj, Swarm, or any open protocol). Self-sovereign identity on physical devices. Apps that run local-first. Mesh hardware that connects without cloud dependency. Anything that puts decentralized infrastructure into real-world devices people actually use. Criteria: runs on physical hardware, contributes to the decentralized web or self-sovereignty stack, demoed by end of summer 2026, open-source. Budget: $1,000 from remaining $8K treasury — split across multiple small grants ($200–$500 each). Administered by Atlas, judged by gathering participants.
